I assume that tank in the right front is for dry sump? What size is that?

I saw that and wondered too Rob. The picture perspective adds a bit of foreground enhancement but still, if it was up to me to give it a size label, it would simply be size 'Huge'!

Whatever size it is, it certainly looks good as does everything else on the car. The build deserves a lot of "Wows".

It’s a fairly common Peterson 3gal tank with 1 1/2 inches sectioned out of the middle, the daily dry sump pump has an air / oil separator option so you don’t need a ‘full sized’ tank

500rwhp was bonkers in my street 951 -- I can only imagine what it would be like at 2/3rds the weight! I vote that you install one of those track cameras so we can go on virtual track ride-alongs with you. It's great watching this car come together and it looks like a total beast! Nice work!

2200lbs / 500whp ! Love that concept. That's considerably lighter than mine. I think we're about 2500lbs with all liquids. I sometimes wonder where we went wrong. Not many places to save weight for us. Your car will be an absolute rocket with that p/w ratio! My only concern is where that oil tank is located.

Ok, I was sort of hoping they were making them again.

Is it not an "issue" to add some weight to the front overhang with the oil tank in front of the RH wheel?
I have noticed that big brakes and a bigger intercooler already made a significant different in steering feel. Perhaps only an issue on road cars that spend most time driving within speed limits...

A fellow 944 racer that has done a bunch of cages, always liked his work so I dropped it off at his shop. Glen Able, he’s been to a bunch of 944 fests and even rolled his 944 there (cage worked great!)

I dropped mine off to Mark McMahan, he builds some of the nicest cages I've ever seen, event compared to the current crop of factory GT3/GT4 FIA cages, but it will probably be next century by the time I get the car back from him. If you know him you'll know what I'm talking about....So anyway maybe something from your design will give me inspiration or ideas for additions to my design while he's still working on it.

My cage guy is a little grumpy because it’s a slick top - no sun roof for the final welds! His cages are seriously tight to the body.

Nice same here, no sunroof car. Also same, basically can't get a zip tie between any A/B-pillar or roof bars...
