On the base-model 992, there is textured black plastic where the rear plate mounts on the base model car. On the up-optioned models, it painted like the rest of the bumper cap in the body color. On all the 718's I've seen so far (GT4 and Spyders), the rear license plate area is a painted body panel. I'm hoping to figure out, with your collective help, if any 718's have a black textured plastic area on the read bumper where the plate mounts and, if so, which models have that....?

My 718 2.5l GTS has the rear plate mounted to the painted bumper. The two screws holding the plate just screw into indents on the bumper.

Mine as well, so I used the no-drill mount sold here on the 718 Forum to mount mine with 3D printed mounts with brass fittings for the screws and held in place by 3M tape. Works great!

My 2018 718CS just has a couple of raised areas left and right on the body panel that the rear number plate normally screws into (approx between the 2 outside TT’s left and right )
but I actually use double sided 3M tape for an invisible fit.
