Hello everyone. I'm a new member and I have a problem with the alarm in my 951.
I bought a car at auction and I'm trying to start it.. the engine has good contact, the alarm siren goes on immediately, the engine starts and immediately turns off. The car does not have an alarm lock near the driver's door, I am trying to locate it but without success. Does anyone have similar experiences? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Carpokes!! Sorry your car is being a pain. If it is a factory alarm, I'd probably start by just bypassing it as shown in this video. Assuming the car runs fine with it bypassed, you can go from there on whether to diagnose the fault or just leave it bypassed. When I got my car 20+ years ago, I had a similar problem with an aftermarket alarm (installed by Circuit City if you are old enough to remember them). The unit itself was bad enough, but the wiring was just terrible (vampire style connector, crimps that look like they were make with their teeth, etc.). After messing with it for years, I finally bit the bullet and painstakingly traced all the wiring and removed the entire thing. They had spliced into the main wiring under the relay box, to cut all power when the alarm activated (or malfunctioned), so getting up under there to return it to stock was a contortionists dream... (took the seat out, etc.).
