Center console mounted double cup holder

Ive been stuck in the house bored after surgery so decided to put the time to good use and design a new cupholder option for our Late 944s.

This cup holder can hold up to 2 large drinks, it uses the original hardware and mounting points for the center console so no drilling or new hardware is required to install.

Printing tips: I recommend printing in ASA, PETG may be acceptable if youre not in a climate that gets too hot or the car is mostly garage kept. DO NOT Print with PLA or you will likely find it to be deformed after its first day in a hot car. Pictures shown are printed with ASA-Glass Fiber filament.

8-10% sparse infill density with 2 walls appears to be suffectient for this.

Install directions.

1. Open the center console lid and remove the 2 rear mounted screws

2. Slide the mounting tab underneath the rear of the center console, use your fingers to feel for the oval shaped supports underneath the center console, the oval holes on the mounting tab should slot into the oval supports underneath the center console.

3. Once tab is centered and slotted into the supports reinstall the rear screws for the center console.

4. Done, enjoy your new cup holders.
