Im back with another project/thread. This time brakes, specifically caliper rebuilding. I just picked up a set of used calipers that look partially rebuilt, but the cylinders may need replaced. I ordered seal kits, but I noticed pistons are either out of stock or maybe difficult to find? Any advice on where to get them from?

I haven't actually broken them down yet, the boots just look hosed. I will reuse them if I can, but I was mostly just asking so I could understand my options.Trouble wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2026 6:13 pm Are the pistons REALLY that bad that they can’t be cleaned up?? Are they scored or out of spec???
1987 944 NA, the single piston floating calipers.
