Pic for attention. New tires mounted. I put in a new battery last weekend and was shocked and pleased to find my dash and sunroof came back to life. Everything works even the up shift light. But, it all went out again after a couple of miles. Any tips on how to track this down? I was hoping that because the dash and sunroof are acting in tandem that would be a clue.

Nice looking car!!

It's always hard to diagnose over the internet, but I looked at the schematic and the first thing I'd probably do is check Relay G2. It's called the 'ignition relay' but it appears to power both the cluster (or at least big portions thereof) and the sunroof via a black/red wire. If that isn't it, let me know.

Thank you. Took a while to get to it, but it worked perfectly. Took a vid of the dash working but this site seems to choke on a .mov file. Thanks again.

Very cool, so it was that relay -- seemed likely from the schematic but great to hear. These are the sorts of issues where I think the carpokes/forum format works well and hopefully creates a reference for others in the future. :)

I always post to YouTube and then embed the video to play here, but if there is interest in having video files hosted here directly, I imagine we could do that....

I am having that same issue. I have to swap the relay out soon. When my gauges go out I get out of the car, open the hood, and give the relay a good whack. Comes right back to life lol. My wife looks at me like I'm crazy.
