Hi folks i am in the process of planning a diff upgrade for a 944 Turbo 1986 open differential .
Now i have done this very same job in the past but that gearbox had a Limited Slip Diff from factory

*The gearbox has the external oil cooler and an internal oil pump but have been told that i need a different drive gear for the LSD , Does anyone have any info on this and perhaps part numbers?

You should check with a Porsche dealership parts department, but the catalog shows same drive gear part #2 for M220 LSD and open diff:

Thanks i think i will install the diff and look/function test.
"Worst" case i will just install an external pump and aftermarket cooler
