I've been looking to cover up the severely cracked dash on my 87 NA.

I've found three different brands of covers made from plastic. Coverlay at around $130, Accu Form at $167 from Amazon, and Dashtop by Palco at $230.

What are the differences in quality vs price? In other words, is the $230 Palco so much better in quality and fit to justify $63 more than Accu Form or $100 more than Coverlay?

Anyone have experience with these three brands that they'd be willing to share?

I’ve seen decent results with the Coverlay if you take your time fitting it and don’t rush the prep. None of them look like a brand new dash up close, but for hiding cracks and cleaning up the interior, it’s hard to justify spending a lot more unless the fit is noticeably better.

I went with the mid priced option in the accu-form cover. It required a little trimming and fitting but in the end it's much like the rest of the car; not perfect but good enough for now.

I have wondered if you could take a dash cap and cover it with Alcantara/vinyl/leather ? That would make a dash cap less noticeable .

Looks good in your pics to me, certainly a big improvement over what you were dealing with before.

I imagine the right person could do that. A couple of threads on dash repairs and recovering that I found on Carpokes. (I believe there are other a couple of similar topics somewhere on the site.)
