I purchased my first Porsche 928 in February 1988, a model year 1984 from a friend who had purchased it new. I’ve owned 928s ever since. I was active in the first on-line community and met members across the US and later around the world. I am a charter member of the 928 owners club (established in 1998) and am the membership chairman.
I learned of the history of failures of 1987 and newer Porsche 928 LH Fuel Injection modules. I purchased my 1993 928 GTS new, and wanted to ensure that it would live a long life. Through my friendship with a member of the Porsche 928 Club Germany I met a German gentleman who had engineered the fix for LH failures and in 2003 I began a collaboration to repair Porsche 928 fuel/spark and mass airflow meters (MAFs). My company is Electronik Repair, Inc. I’ve been supporting the Porsche 928 community, Porsche dealerships, and independent shops now for over 23 years.
It is a serendipitous chain of events that enabled this to happen. Back in the mid-1980s I worked at Intel Corp. in Automotive Marketing in Germany and met the engineering groups at Bosch that created the fuel and spark systems in our Porsche 928s. The designs were based on the 8-bit Intel microcontrollers that I managed. So the heart of Porsche 928 engine control was a familiar topic. This was nearly 20 years prior to my decision to repair these modules.
I’ve prepared an overview of the fuel and spark system for the Porsche 928 S4 through GTS and also have detailed information about older 928s (1980 – 1984 US L-Jetronic, 1984 Euro/ROW and 1985 US- 1986 LH ) too. If anyone would like to receive this kind of information, send a PM, drop me a note at Electronikrepair (at) earthlink.net or at www.electronikrepair.com and I’ll email the information in PDF format. If you have questions about your 928, or need assistance with repairs let me know.

I can personally attest to Rich's work and the quality of the pieces. I have one fixed LH controller in the car, another as a spare, and have installed several in clinic cars over the years. As soon as my car comes off hibernation stands (another month or so) I'll have the MAF out for a prophylactic test/refurb too. Then another 100k+ with no worries.
All good!
