Speedometer sensor in transaxle - source of leak?

I was under the car yesterday and saw some fluid on the transaxle case on the passenger side near the fill/drain plugs. The case has been completely dry since I got the car, so this leak is something newish. Is the speedometer sensor a common source of leaks? I see in the PET that it looks like there is an o-ring that may be easily replaced.

Could be. Could also be your axle seals - depends on where the leak is. Follow it to the highest point.
