I've been working on modeling a replica of the plastic linkage that actuates the 944 door locks. (They break!) AutoCAD's Fusion 360 is just a game-changer. There's zero chance I could have done this without it. Unlike all the other CAD's I've tried, Fusion 360 is intuitive and reasonably easy to use, yet can do anything you'd ever need for a car part. I'm still fine tuning the latch, but overall it's virtually identical to the original. They still sell them new, and they're cheap, but someday they won't make them anymore and, in any event, it's a great part to work on CAD skills. It's 99% there, but I'll post the .stl when it's perfect. :)
