I can't get this 12 year old insert out

Seems to be rust-welded at bottom where the nut was

Tried drilling it a bit there just to expose it's now solid with the housing

Help

I'd throw that whole assembly away and get a new one

The perches are hard to come by and the whole units are NLA. Def worth salvaging.

M474s? Plenty of replacement options. Nothing special

Did the same thing to my previous NA many years ago.
Absolutely a great upgrade!

Cheers

Honestly... I find them a bit harsh for DD

Softest setting is oddly too loose yet harsh at same time. Firmer is just hard

I do admire their build quality. Original inserts put in 2013 at least 150k US miles since and only one started leaking.. this through harsh winters too

I really beat on the stuck one without damaging it. Very solid!

But I understand Bilsteins are more refined while giving good handling

This is daily street not track use at all (gave that up after first couple years)
