Hello - I'm new to CarPokes and searching for conversations regarding the warping of the door cards along the window. I know that this is common and I'm sure that there have been discussions, but I've been unable to find them. I'll gladly take some direction on finding the strings as well as advice on getting them repaired. I understand that Porsche will not stand behind the design flaw - is that correct?

Sorry to hear about the warping door cards. I personally have no knowledge of how they can be repaired but I'm sure others do, so hopefully someone at Carpokes will be able to help. I also know that some cards on various models have had de-lamination issues as well but as far as I know, that isn't too common.
I cannot attest to the following fellows who do this sort of thing but I have seen their website and services mentioned many times over the years, so it might be worth checking out. Their home page highlights their door card repairs

Thanks for the info - I've heard of Pedros and only good reports. My concern that I have to ask (have not done it yet) is - does his repair impact the side airbags in any way?
Thanks again!

Hi - good question about the airbag tear zone being affected. I imagine Porsche would have had a significant 991/981/718 recall on their hands if so, given that almost 100% of the rubber dash car door panels are affected by this door panel problem by now.
I found this post - and see #6 which are some comments from Pedro (the fixer) himself:

He addresses the airbag issue. Someone says Pedro actually tested with live airbags to make sure they still blew properly. Not sure how scientific it is, but, I guess there would be some liability if he charged for the service and then there was a problem. He’s certainly done hundreds of them by now.
BTW I would not try to fix this myself based on a few owner-attempted repairs on cars I looked at for sale, but for cosmetic reasons -- not safety reasons. (one had some gook on the edge, another was all wavy on top, but glued down securely)
I have a car with the leather top door panels on my own car, so I haven’t had the issue - but I do wonder if in 20 years, we’ll start seeing the same issue with the leather top door panels.
