I am in the middle of changing the chain tensioner pads and found the cover had been broken and repaired by a mechanic in the past. Anyone have one they would sell?
Below is what I found.
Thanks in advance,
Lee

If you have more pictures from your cam chain change, I'd love to see them as I'm going to tackle that on my S2. I have the 944 Workshop manual, but it's not exactly clear on all the details. I'm planning to pick up the cam tool from 928sRus. Thanks.

I highly, highly recommend checking out Jurgen's videos. They are probably the best DIY videos for S2/968 engine maintenance you can find. There are definitely videos which will walk you through both the timing belt change, cam removal, lifter and tensioner pad replacement if you search his channel (or review the videos in his playlist for Porsche 944 S2).Latitude48 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 12:23 pm If you have more pictures from your cam chain change, I'd love to see them as I'm going to tackle that on my S2. Tom, I have a good number of pictures I can share. I can start a new thread and add some description for each if it is not self evident. It was part of a timing belt change. Also, I made my own cam holder tool and posted some pictures in a different thread. I think I spent less than $50 for all the parts.Latitude48 wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 12:23 pm If you have more pictures from your cam chain change, I'd love to see them as I'm going to tackle that on my S2. I got mine from Pelican (which sells the Rennbay unit) using their 10% PCA discount.
Since I recently painted the cam valve cover, I'll mask where I need to and spray the cam gear cover with the same color (Dupli-Color BGM042 Light Drift Sand Metallic).

Thanks for the link to the PCA Mart. I clicked on the link and logged in but I didn't see a way to contact the seller. I just get thrown into an endless loop of "Login to contact seller." Any ideas? Does PCA.org not like Chrome browser? Seems odd.Sansho wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 7:01 pm Also this: https://mart.pca.org/ads/75108
