As we all know, the 951 puts out a lot of heat. And this heat has adverse effects on a lot of the sub components. Has anyone tried mods to help reduce the under hood temps successfully and were the gains worth the effort. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Ken

In earlier days, I had a twin turbo rx7, which were notorious for under hood temps. Hood vents helped, as did creative ducting. Not sure there were any performance gains per se, but spark plug wires and vacuum hoses enjoyed a more normal life span. On my bone stock car, I'd need new plug wires every two years. They'd just bake under the hood. The 944 Turbo is a veritable ice cooler under the hood in comparison...

Jet Hot coat everything you can.
Headers, down pipe, cross over pipe, intermediate pipe,
intake, heat shields, coolant tubes, intercooler tubes, etc.
