Cannot get manual trans into reverse

Suddenly I lost the ability to get my Manual trans 991.2 into reverse.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I ran into a situation last year where I couldn’t bring the shift lever far enough over to the left to get into reverse. Mine is a 981 Cayman which has a 6 speed instead of a 7. Mine ended up being a shift cable came loose from the bracket that holds it in place above the transmission. It was just a matter of popping it back into place. I haven’t had an issue since. I had to jack up the car to crawl underneath it and set my camera on video to record what the linkage was doing while I tried to shift gears.
