2002 type 996 Turbo rear main seal leak

Bought @ 42049 mi.. 1st oil change @ 45341 Mobil 1 syn-viscosity unknown, no leak problems. 2nd oil change @ 49946, unsure of oil, rear main seal began leaking. Currently @ 52,240 mi.. Approximately 1 quart lost to date [ as per dash gauge] in 2300 mi..
Am planning to install Mobil 1 syn 5W-50 for the 3rd oil change. Can the rear main seal be expected to stop, slow down or continue to wreck my love affair with this vehicle ? Any one out there with a similar misfortune ?
