I rallied the 992 yesterday through some dirty gravelled roads. Predictably it picked up a truckload of gravel and I could hear it bouncing off the bodywork. Had it washed off today and completely perfect:)............

I applaud you for driving that work of art like it was meant to be driven!

PPF has saved me countless times... I even put Xpel PPF on my carbon fiber door sills so there is no risk of scratches...

That pic I posted in the Travel thread above Cordell Hull Lake from an excursion in the TN hills last Friday was also off road and in the gravel up a quite steep grade. Not a rally per se but the PPF did its thing. (The car is still dirty however. All the P-cars are filthy at the moment.)

I have been expounding on using 3M, XPel, Stek, or other paint protective films for almost a decade and a half as it has saved a bucketload of Trackaddict's machines from all the clagg one gets from running on road courses. Sure, it is beneficial on the highways as one never knows the condition of the roads, but if you are planning an assault on the asphalt for a HPDE, Time Trial or Race event you are guaranteed debris , be it flying rubber, rocks , or even , ugh , car parts. The long term effect is it protects the concrete conquistador and it leaves it sparkling clean for the next owner. The money you spend to protect, you get back in solid resale, imho.

Wow!

Is/was some of that insect material that maybe came off later or was it all track rash?
