Adding Android Auto to PCM 3.0 or 4.0

Anyone done this?

Over on the 718 Forum, simaservis1108 offers a service to activate Android Auto within the existing PCM 3.0 or 4.0. Has anyone here tried this or something/someone similar?

I used an Android to CarPlay adaptor from Ottocast. Then they upgraded it and it stopped pairing. I even tried a new adaptor to no avail.

My car had Android Auto and Carplay when I bought it but it did not have Navigation. I used the MIB solution to enable Navigation and a few other features, had I not had Android Auto/CarPlay already I would have done that as well. The process is simpler than it initially sounds and over time the process has been improved.

No issues. The MIB All-in-one (AIO) solution is excellent and easy to install on any 718 up to 2022: Extract files to an SD card, pop it in the left slot, and wait.

Agreed, it was pretty straight forward once you get going, it was lightly intimidating at the start. There is even a thread on here where we discussed it a year or so ago, many of us can help if you need it.

We have helped hundreds of cars with MIB on 718 S/GTS/GT4 and 991.2. No support yet for MY 2024 with the updated PCM.
