I figured I would start this one. I didn’t spec the sports exhaust because I’ve always felt they were underwhelming for the price. I am looking at aftermarket valved exhausts for the new cayenne s v8 to give it some rumble when I’m feeling frisky. There has been a paucity of options and videos so I’m having a tough time deciding. The one I’m most curious about is the gthaus cat back. Just wanting to see if anyone else has taken the leap yet.

I think you'll love any exhaust upgrade.

I opted for the Sport Exhaust on the new '24 Cayenne S and it is far, far better than I expected. Awesome actually - better sounding exhaust than on any stock exhaust Porsche I've had. It sounds so much better and meaner (for those frisky moments :D ) than either of the two Cayenne Turbos that preceded it.

I need to post pics of the new Cayenne - been procrastinating. But, it's a nice day here - taking the Turbo S out for a spin - it's been sitting for way too long.

Anyway, I'll ask around to see if anyone has done aftermarket exhaust on new 9Y0.2 gen Cayennes. Maybe Soul Performance has something in the works. Call 'em and see what they say.

I already spoke to them and all they have is the turbo down tubes which would add sound. I don’t want louder, I want a symphony! 😂

Ya gotta go for it then! Will be good to see how it works out and and how it sounds if/when you make the move.

Made it back from the drive intact except for cicada carnage and the usual bad roads, bad drivers, etc. 🤣 The 911 was happy though and I enjoyed some behind-the-wheel time even with the unwanted extras...

@Mojonito

Here's a clip of how the factory sport exhaust sounds on the new 2024 Cayenne V-8s. Made this vid last month but have been remiss in getting it to YouTube. This is from our "S" at idle - a glorious sound. Turn up the volume!

And by the way, it really sings when underway with decent throttle. (Wish I could hear it from behind under full acceleration.) It sounds better than our previous '19 Cayenne Turbo. Love this Cayenne!

PS - note the Carpokes custom no drill Cayenne license plate mount  !!! Full production has commenced and the final product will be ready to ship soon! Get yours now!

@Tom :angel: ;)

Nice video, and product plug  Now that the GTS is out, would you still get the S if you were buying now? I like the idea of the GTS but not sure what it really gets you other than 25 extra horsepower at a thousand dollars a horse? Need to study up a bit on that....

I'd opt for the GTS if for no other reason than the fact that much of what I specced on our S is standard on the GTS. Probably a wash on the cost of most of those items but I think you are paying a sizeable bit extra for the GTS badge and the whopping extra 25 horses. For all intents and purposes the two models are identical, assuming the S is loaded up.

Open the PDF file I attached to my post last night here to see what I optioned on the S.

https://www.carpokes.com/viewtopic.php? ... 733#p34729

Check the options we went with on our S and weigh them against what will be standard on a GTS. You'll be able to somewhat discern where the extra money is going with a GTS and figure out if it's worth it.

Might as well post the pdf here -

GTS Standard options that are not standard on the s:
21" spyder wheels in anthracite
Colored center caps
Sport design package (mirrors, fascia, skirts)
WIndow trim in black
wheel arch in high gloss black
trailer hitch
pasm
ptv
sports exhaust
bronze tail pipe
power steering plus
bigger brakes (i believe)
hd matrix lights
exclusive taillights
interior in black brushed aluminum
accents in black
race tex roof
stainless pedals
door sills in black aluminum
ambient lighting
bose
gts racetex leather interior with deviated stitching and belts

if you option an s similar to a gts it costs $12000 more. so if you like ractex gts interior, sports design package, and racier wheels it is absolutely worth it. but if you want an s ill sell you mine :)

Excellent work and research! There you go Tom - Mojonito did great legwork so that your decision-making will be easier. (Me thinks Mojo is seriously speccing a GTS replacement. The tea leaves say so.).

Pretty much everything you listed as std for GTS plus more (Burmeister, 22' wheels, crests, deviated stitching, extra leather, blah, blah, blah) is on our S, so the GTS pkg may save some with the bundling of a lot of those S options.

Of course, Porsche then takes the savings back with the additional bucks for the GTS badge and the extra 25HP.
