Hi,

Dave here. I just wanted to say Hi to this new to me community. I have spent lots of time on Pelican, 912 BBS, 356 Registry forum, and Rennlist over the years. Excited to spend more time digging into Carpokes.

Over the years I have collected 6 Porsches. So far, sold 0, which is an issue at home.

Now living in Edina, MN (first suburb west of Minneapolis). Will be building our retirement home in Santa Fe in the next few years.

Cars: 1960 Super Cabriolet, 1967 912, 1982 928, 1982 Targa, 1985.5 944, 1996 C4 Cabriolet.

Here is the 1960.

I do all my own work. Currently working on the 82 Targa that had an engine fire. Stripped down to bard metal and totally rebuilding all of the systems.

Cheers,
-Dave

That's yet another quite special Porsche story - thank you for posting and sharing same. Good luck on the upcomonmg move. (Build a BIG garage! )

I realize that you've been around Carpokes for awhile now, but thanks for the first post and the pics and the story! Welcome!

A belated welcome to you. What a great collection of Porsches! Absolutely love the red super cab! Is it Signal red? First Porsche I ever rode in was a Signal Red Karmann hardtop.... many moons ago...

Thanks, everyone.

Tom - yes, signal red. Turns out that is the same formulation as guards red of today.
