992T - Reverse moves the passenger mirror UP?

Gents,
Something strange I've noticed with my new 992 Carrera T is that when I put it into reverse, the passenger side mirror, moves the view UP, which is the opposite of what I'd expect. I'd expect it to move down, so I could see a curb or some other road level thing.

Anybody else's do this? Is this some sort of special Carrera thing that I'm just not tuned in enough to know about?

Everything else I've had/driven previously, moved the mirror down so you could see the ground...

That's a new anomaly and one that's bizarre. I cannot imagine any reason for it to behave that way. Drone patrol - gotta watch for the ones that attack from the rear!

Good thing there's a warranty so Porsche/dealer techs can sort it out. Whatever happens, please post once it's sorted as I'm definitely curious.

If you adjust the mirror while the car is in reverse (with brakes applied), I 'believe' the car will remember that position whenever you put it in reverse. Try putting the car in reverse with parking brake on and foot on the brake, then adjust the mirror so it points down where you like it. Then back up a little that way, stop, and put the car in drive. With any luck, you can then put the car in reverse and the mirror will go down where you set it.

I will give that a try and see. It's as good as an explanation as another!
I guess it might just be doing this since it remembers that from the first time it was put into reverse.

That's what it was - I had to move it so it remembered what I wanted it to do.
