I am a big fan of Harry's Garage, and he does proper reviews of cars with no semi-sponsor pressure - here is a review just posted:

Never mind fields, it excels in the snow - off road mode suits snow and ice best!

Mr. Metcalfe does some very good, real world reviews. His review of the 718 GTS 4.0 is a reason there is one in my garage.
This 911 Dakar is the first 911 that would tempt me away from Boxsters. But, alas, this is not going to happen

I wonder if the success of the Dakar may tempt Porsche into building a regular production model in the future?
I has looked at it in announcement and dismissed it but it does seem very good. Not enough to pay some inflated used price ( I refuse to do that ever), but if they do an unlimited, non-special edition car I would be tempted . No cage, no LWBs and I would have a great car for hammering along Arizona dirt roads, impossible in a GT3RS:)
