Happy New Year everyone!!!

I'm guessing some of you have probably seen this series on youtube, but I am at episode 26 (of 45 or something like that) and it is fascinating! Kinda been binge watching it. LOL

This guy has a shop in Naples, FL and is completely disassembling a 1986 944 Turbo. He basically shows removing every last bit. @usury - right up your alley on your "what's inside" postings. ;)

Spoiler alert: Sadly the car does not get finished. I got to episode 49 to find this out. But the series is a very good video catalog of removing everything down to the bare shell.

Makes me want to take my engine out just to reseal everything and clean up the engine bay.

The videos were very helpful for prepping for paint (full interior removal). I even sent some videos to my paint shop so that they knew how to pull things like door harnesses.

Too bad we didn’t get to see how to put it all back together.

Yeah I saw several of the episodes - super informative especially the parts tearing apart the fuse box and going through the electrical schematics. I wonder if he has any plans to post more vids?

I read in the comments that he'd like to, just a matter of finding another 944 to work on. I volunteered mine! ;)

I watched every video as they came out on Saturdays. I was bummed to hear that the owner of the car came on hard times and it wouldn't be finished. I really enjoyed hearing Russ talk about servicing them at the Porsche dealer when they were new.

Video series is also a good lesson in not scope creeping a project. They took apart way more than they needed to.

I remember watching one of his vids to help me with the turbo crossover pipe removal.
