After finishing a fuel pump job and removing the belly pan to do so, the 8mm allen bolt that attaches the belly pan and front sway bar brackets to the bottom of floor pan will not align and start on the passenger side. The other side took by turning it in with my fingers. I have tried various combinations of jacking, but this side's sway bar brackets will not line up enough to get this bolt started. I can't imagine trying to get is a back in with the actual belly pan in play to, but would be happy just to get the bolt back in for the moment. Any advice greatly appreciated as always.

Pictures would really help but can a ratchet strap be used to pull in whatever direction is needed to get it aligned ?

Remove the other one which went in OK, and than try the other one first. If you cannot see in the hole, take a small mirror and check if it line up.
