Hello,
Can someone please tell me what the correct engine compartment decals are for my '81 SC on the left side of the engine cover latch. I know what the three on the right side of the latch are. On my car it looks like there are two decals on the left side; one with the gold backing (like the 3 on the right) and one that is white. Both are missing any words to indicate what information they are supposed to convey. Thanks for the help.

Thank you. It's a great picture.
Interesting. On my '81 it doesn't look like it ever had a decal on the 3rd space from the left of the latch; which indicates an alternator decal. Do you know if some SC's were different through the model years? I'll check the sites you listed and perhaps get my answer there. Thanks again.

My original paint '84 Carrera had no stickers in either of the far left spots. These things varied from year to year, and sometimes even within the same year.

I can't speak to the '81 SC, but I do know many cars from that era had a CA-only emissions sticker for cars first sold in California. My '79 450SL has one. That was the era of 49-state cars for those old enough to remember that....Arne2 wrote: Mon Sep 25, 2023 8:38 am My original paint '84 Carrera had no stickers in either of the far left spots. Sometimes these varied within the same year, as well. My '72 911T only had 5 decals from the factory (E and S both had all 6), but one of the 5 was rather unique and I finally had to order the replacement from Canford Classics in the UK. No one else offered it, although CarBone was aware of it.

Hi everyone:
Here are 3 shots from my original paint ‘83 SC. The original factory stickers (4) are in place, with only one to the left of the deck lid striker. As already mentioned, there most probably were variations, even among cars in the same year. Also, check your original owner’s manual. There may be an engine shot showing the stickers in place.
‘Hope this helps.
Best, ex.

I stumbled across this '81 SC on BAT just now, and it has the same stickers as ex099 shows above.
