well the whole "i want a new 944 badly" started with an overslept auctioning, there was a red 944 turbo on ebay 6 years ago, it was pretty rusty but the price was good. we were auctioning and i fell asleep at the last moments, so someone else got the car.
i got angry and said to myself, better to have a good shell instead of HP.
so basically, i bought one rust free 944 from Florida, single owner for 32 years and I'm the second owner.
I shipped it to Romania and I'm having tons of fun with the car.
Does it lack power? ofc it does, it's the basic NA 150 or 160 HP.
But does it turn heads? ofc it does.
Once when I'll get it painted I will start saving up for a turbo trans, engine, etc.

Absolutely professionally done video and very tasteful mods on the car. I would imagine it turns heads as I personally love that color and it appears to be in great shape. I had quite a few friends with 944s when I owned RX7s and neither car was super fast , but they were both a joy to drive. You may decide to leave it as it is because it is simply gorgeous in my estimation.

The idea is, sometimes you just need an extra push, either when taking over or the car's value itself. I'd like to get the turbo engine, gearbox and whatever parts are necessary to have a better driving experience. I guess I'd stop at 250 or 300 HP. I dreamt about the 944 for like 18 years and I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw what I bought. I must admit it wasn't looking this good and it needed the usual extra TDC but right now, it's a dream come true.

As mods, I have the 4 degree cam key, adjustable FPR, Radium FPD, lightened flywheel, skimmed the head when I rebuilt the engine (just seals, nothing else), NGK spark plugs, AC delete, AFM re-adjusted, FQS adhusted, kevlar clutch, BMC air filter in it's very own case, m030 adjustable front and rear, Nardi wooden steering wheel, custom made shifter as a tribute to the wood shifter but added my own personal touch to it, lightened and hardened pressure plate, it runs on 15w50 MOTUL classic engine oil (I will switch up to 20w50), 80w90 gl4 gearbox oil and some other bits that I don't recall right now. Turbo diffuser, FOHA front lip, exhaust custom free flow, it was 63mm (i guess that's 2.25).
I modified the stock muffler and will have it installed back to its rightful place and downgrade on the pipes to a 57mm or 60mm.

I'm glad that you guys like the car and how it's modded.
I'm trying to pull a 944 outlaw backdate kind of thing.

Wow, it looks like you have the passion and once acquired it can't be cured, ha,ha! After 18 years of dreaming it appears you will constantly be buying your new mistress accessories and she will just look more lovely every time you see her!
