Polo Red 912's with red-painted dashboards

I've got a project '67 912 Soft-Window Targa, originally Polo Red exterior with black interior. Although I'm trying to bring it back to stock (as close as possible), I really want to have the metal dash painted with the same Polo Red as the exterior, even though it wasn't original or stock. What can you tell me about this option? I think it looks really cool...
