I bought a Cayenne S V8 in 2007, stripper spec because I wanted a working vehicle to transport large dogs, manage Canadian winters and Arizona trails, and tow cars for thousands of miles. When I finally sold it last year it has 200,000 miles on it and had all the original running gear. Replaces camshaft lifters and A/C compressor and that was about it. It has scrapes and dents all over but no rust. Hugely dependable.
I replied it with a 2022 Cayenne GTS last year which is in every way a better vehicle and definitely not a stripper spec. Will be interesting to see how it does with the treatment I give it:)......
Replaced my faithful 2008 Cayenne...

Good grief NHTSA has screwed us so badly in the past years regarding the PDLS+ Matrix lighting. And now that the system is approved for the US, PNA is posturing and saying that they aren't going to activate them. Sorry PNA, but you are jerks for not doing that!RDMcG wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:17 pm The new car is fully specced with full leather, PDLS,Burmeister, pano roof, matrix headlights (activated in Canada) and other stuff. Very quick and comfortable....
What a magnificent lighting system - 16,384 LEDs on a chip the size of a thumbnail, each LED individually controllable. Two of those chips per each headlight assy. That's 65,536 super bright, super accurate LED's for each Porsche. Now up to 22 patents for Porsche and counting. And here we sit in US completely shut out. Think about how much safer night driving would be.
I repeat - PNA, it's a disgrace that you're not giving us what we have ready and waiting to be activated on our cars!
But moving on, we love our Cayenne Turbo.

No kidding. The promise on the retail side has always been that if or when PDLS+ was approved by the molasses-slow NHTSA, our systems would be activated if desired and we would receive the benefits of the incredible PDLS+ system that we ordered and paid for.
The way I understood it was that customers would more than likely have to pay for the activation and upgrade. I am fine with that. Just make it available! Come on Porsche!
Meanwhile, we (I) keep on ticking the PDLS+ option box ...

I drove a 2021 Cayenne for 5 days recently, it was a loaner while my Cayman was getting the radiator replaced. It was really nice, great vehicle. It especially looks like you are enjoying yours!

My wife's favourite car - I have the extra sound/UV insulation on it which she likes as the sun through the panorama roof is zero UV. I have taken it on some very long trips and it is rock solid; my Panamera wagon is great but a bit too cramped for large dogs, so prefer the Cayenne for this purpose. So far have had zero issues with the vehicle.J-Dub wrote: Thu Aug 24, 2023 4:55 pm I drove a 2021 Cayenne for 5 days recently, it was a loaner while my Cayman was getting the radiator replaced.
