Has anybody put paint protective film on their mission E wheels,

I’m thinking of ways to try to protect the paint on these rims.

PPF won’t necessarily protect them from scrapes, but it could protect the paint from the inevitable rock chips.

No idea if it would work or not but I'd think some hurdles might be heat, centrifugal force, difficulty in getting the seams secured so they don't lift - those thoughts just came off the top of my mind. Have you asked your PPF installer? He should have a good idea as to what might or might not work.

On another note, I had a Taycan for part of the day today and it was a fun drive. Good car!

@TipToe While I no longer have my Taycan with its awesome Mission E rims, it would be quite costly to have them protected with PPF. Each piece would need to be custom cut. Over the 3 years that I had my Taycan, the Mission Es got a few rock chips. I had them repaired by Alloy Rim Repair. The cost was about $125/rim. They looked like new.
