As the car is accelerating through the 2-3000 revs area, there is what I'll call "the opposite of a flat spot" at about 2700 rpm. That is, it actually acts like a small "boost" at 2700 and then normal is resumed. Only a dork like me would probably even notice it, but it is there for sure. A few years ago I was reading a forum where a couple of guys referenced the same thing so It isn't unique to my car. Just a regular 3.6 C2 - no turbo. Anybody ever heard of this??? Thanks a lot!

It's 2700 RPM where the variocam plus high-lift profile kicks in to give that power boost, according to my reading. /X3

Interesting. I always thought the blip in my 996 was from a misfire or distributor issue that I could never track down.
