Turbo 3.0 Emblem

Inspired by Bob Z's 4.0 emblems, I think I'll work on making "turbo 3.0" emblems, keeping the factory 944 turbo look for the 'turbo' part and borrowing from the Carrera 3.0 emblem for the "3.0" part. Fairly sure I could print and paint those to look factory original... Any/all design input welcome. If they work out, I'll make them for Carpokes for the cost of shipping.

The 3.0 on the "Carrera 3.0" emblem just didn't look right to me, so I sketched out a 3 loosely based on the early 90's 3.6 emblem. This was a quick/rough print just to check how it looks. I'm thinking they could be a little bit taller and with thicker letters. I'll play with that this week, but I think it's going to be a go. When I get the design right and do them on the fancy printer, the trick will be finding black paint with a similar look as the factory 'turbo' emblems...

I never have been a fan of just adding along the same plane or axis. It always seems to clutter up where ever it is on the car. I always enjoyed trying to integrate things a little more, and create some depth or dimension to it. This is what I pictured earlier in my head. I get that this type of thing is completely subjective, but it’s always fun to see what people think up with stuff like this. It’s extremely crude, and number size should probably be a tad smaller, but it gets my point across!

That would be tough to add to the exiting emblem -- maybe as a different colored decal under the factory piece? If I just made that all one piece, it would take some skillful painting to get that look....

I'm not entirely feeling my version either. I had wanted it to say Turbo 3.0, but there isn't enough room after the turbo emblem, and I fear what's underneath if I remove it. So now I have an all-new idea, stay tuned...

Honestly the differing color was there just to give some contrast to the image. In my head it is all the same color, but the 3.1 is thinner to give the appearance that it’s below “turbo”
