I'm looking at using some 996 brakes on my other car, and I have a few questions if anyone can answer.
-All 996 brakes are radial mounted, do they all use the same bolt spacing for that? I heard the only difference is a spacer to push the caliper out farther for the Turbo and GT3?
-986S, 996 C2 & C4 share one brake setup, the 996 C4S and Turbo share another, and the 996 GT3 and GT2 share one (plus having the PCCM rotor and pad setup)
-Does the offset of the rotor change at all?
-Does the wheel clearance get worse with the two bigger brake setups?
Question about 996 Brakes
Update to my own post:
986S and base 996 (C2 and C4) use one caliper type, and they have a separate bolt pattern than the C4S/Turbo calipers. GT3 calipers exchange with C4S/Turbo type, but require being spaced way out.
Base 996 calipers can be uprated to 350mm rotors too using spacers on the caliper.
