I put my name on a list for a 2024 992.2 today. Dealership will know their allocation in April. I am trading in my 991.2. I am buying the base Carrera to use as my daily driver. The good thing about the base list is that I'm the first and only one on it. Specs and configuration options are still not known. No surprise, there will be a price increase. I appreciate being able to post this news on this platform. I'm reluctant to tell friends and my wife doesn't want to hear about it!

Haha -- congrats on the new car. I went from a 991 to a 992 as well and, as always, Porsche just keeps making them better! Welcome to Carpokes! Folks love talking about newly ordered cars here. :)

(By the way, did you register as DutchsPOV 2 earlier? If so, and if you re-registered under this name, let me know and I'll deactivate the other account....)

Welcome to Carpokes and keep the news coming on your order and allocation. I think many here are wanting to get feedback on allocations, ordering, dealer relationships, model changes, etc.

Lol to the wife not wanting to hear about it! Talk away here!

Please post your first acceptation email from Porsche.

I would love to hear all about the new 992.2. They always make improvements every time.

I am still trying to get to break-in mileage on my 992.1 Turbo (1275 miles says the manual). It's been bad rainy weather in my area.

My old 2020 Porsche 911 991.1 was driven in the rain twice in my ownership. I saw it FS briefly for $20K more than I paid for it. It got sold.

Thanks for the welcomes! Yes Tom, I did register twice, old guy mistake! I've been catching up with all of the 992.2 sneak peeks on-line and I'm eager to see what my options will be. I'll update all on any communications I get from my dealership.

Welcome. I find it interesting that your dealer confirmed April as the opening of the new 992.2 window. This was predicted by a certain YouTube commentator and it stirred up a lot of discussion.

I’m #2 on the list at my dealership for a 4S, no distinction yet of .1 or .2…

Ditto the "no distinction of a .1 or .2". I have that option. At this point I'm inclined to wait for the .2 and hang on to my "old" 991.2 for a few more months.

FYI my dealer told me that the 992.2 may not be out until MY25 according to internal communications.

Don't get me wrong - everything in the public points to the 992.2 being released as MY24 so that may just be so I don't skip on the .1 allocation.

We’ve been warned! Thanks for the heads-up.
