THISSS...is a Mooney M20L, specifically N155MP, one of the "Mooney PFM" also known as the Mooney Porsche.

It has a Porsche 933 motor (not a 993) in it, aka the Porsche PFM3200 (N03 specifically). Rated at a whopping 217hp at take off at 5,300rpm and 174hp at 5,000pm for cruise.

There are guesstimates that about 80 motors made in the PFM department in total. So this would make this one of the rarest Porsche motors of all time? Porsche bought back a large number, so a guess would say between out there and in museums two dozen would be ambitious. Porsche worked with Mooney Modworks in Punta Gorda, which got wiped out in 2004 due to Hurricane Charley, so the remainders were stranded with these motors.
As far as I'M concerned, this is cool as absolute hell. And it's for sale. So you can guess who I'm calling tomorrow.
The city seized it after it'd been sitting on the ramp for years. It's not locked up, so I have faith. It's a bizarre motor!
For example, it has timing GEARS, not chains! There are twin gear driven alternators as well. It runs on modified K-jet injection, with Magneti Marelli ignition. It has a lot of seemingly unique parts, different than any other 911 motor. Twin plug heads, unique to it, seem to be one of many. There's no parts catalogue either, and Porsche wants nothing to do with this. I think tracking down maintenance information is going to be next to impossible.
There's a few known issues with these motors, but via OPP (owner produced parts) and the possibility of changing it to Experimental-Exhibition I think this thing is possible to save.
There's a lot of info on these two sites if anyone is interested in further reading.
