It's been 'cold' here too, meaning it occasionally dips into the high 30's (F) at night. 
My knee makes driving the 944 tough right now, but the 992TTS loves (!) the cold dry air. This weather is like nature's Nitrous Oxide.

I cold soaked a 951 at below 0 to make sure the standalone would start it. The tough part was that you only got 1 cold start every couple of hours. When I was in High School (back during the Millard Fillmore administration), we used to fill the big round air filter assemblies with ice and were convinced it was worth 50 horsepower. My first car in high school was a Volvo 940 Turbo wagon, and I lived in the Houston area for a few years. Even my 16-year-old self could notice the difference in engine output right before a thunderstorm hit. Turbocharged engines like cool, dense air!
