Another tidbit from my Porsche pursuit journal....a snippet from two years ago, long before we switched to double GTS orders.

How not to test drive... (Sept 3, 2020)

Today we sampled a manual Cayman S in Montreal traffic.

Not the way to do it, but man the S hauls. It's definitely quicker than the base model. If I was to go for it and get one, I suspect I may be jealous of Andrew's - the extra pep of the S is noticeable.

Inside the car they seem to be pretty much exactly the same and they sound the same too. Growly and not unpleasant at all. Don't know what the Internet is on about.

Really wish we could have a proper weekend test drive, borrow the car and do a few twisties. Somehow I can't see Porsche ever letting us do that. It’s not a cheap car after all.

Next time though, we need a better run plan. These cars need proper driving, and bumper to bumper traffic is not the place for them to shine.
