I have been ceramic coating various parts with Cerakote silver. It takes 5 days to cure 100% and so far so good. Anyone else using this?

I've eyeballed it a few times but never used it - do you have to bake it or just find a place to hang it for 5 days?

That looks great. I've been using POR 15 High Temp for exhaust lately, which has a similar look. The POR 15 HT seems to hold up very well, but you do need to cure it in an over. Would love to compare it to Cerakote someday. I was lucky to get an old HF powder coating oven, but unfortunately they've stopped selling them. :( Here's an old Mercedes part I sandblasted and covered in the POR 15 High Temp stuff.

Where do you get Cerakote, and which one did you use? Looks like they make lots of paint sealants and products....?

I bought it from Cerakote directly. It was $35 for a 4 oz bottle of glacier silver, C-7700T. Plus $14.99 to ship. 4 oz tester bottle covers a surprising amount. I also coated my custom 3” exhaust along with all of the items that I posted already with 2 of those bottles.

Sorry for the 20 questions, but 4 oz? Does it brush on, or come as a spray, or do you need a paint gun for it??

I use an air spray gun from Harbor Freight. I set it to 40 psi using my 100 psi air compressor. Pretty simple setup. I’ll take some pictures of my complete setup and supplies when I get home later.
