Hello, just got my new 718 Cayman GT4 with the LWB seats. I heard they were quite the upright position and I can confirm, they are vertical. I've seen advertisements for seat angle brackets by TPC, Autoquest and TrackSpec. Is there a bracket that everyone likes best? I'm looking for track application vs. street use. I like TrackSpec as it looks like the easiest install, but I've seen lots of good posts for TPC ... just worried about removing the seats, cutting tie wraps on wiring harnesses and all that on my brand new car.

Embarrassed to admit this, but I don't know much about these other than I seen them in cars and they do raise the front of the seat up significantly ...Tom wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 2:42 pmPaging @Crazy Eddie ...Fredman6 wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 2:35 pm Hello, just got my new 718 Cayman GT4 with the LWB seats. I didn't think you hd to remove the seat but rather remove the seat bolts ??
Best of luck

I grabbed a set of the TrackSpec LWB seat recliner brackets. They don’t look like much compared to some others but they tilt the seat back a bunch. At least for me I can tell the difference. I believe but can’t be sure they still required seat removal for the easiest way to install. Regardless, glad I got them so far for more comfort on the street. My head was definitely being pushed forward and down a little. Will see soon in the track with a helmet on.
I developed/made my own... They can be installed without removing the seats, just undo/remove the front shoulder bolt and reposition the other way around with a couple of new bolts.
I have not seen any of the commercial ones in the flesh but assuming they work in the same way, I can confirm it makes a much more comfortable ride.

Just recently installed the TPC brackets. I actually really liked the upright position but it was too uncomfortable with a helmet on. Install isn't too bad but I do work on cars regularly. They do make it perfectly comfortable with a helmet on so they do their job. Quality of the parts is also top notch. Fitment was spot on. I went TPC because it looked like the most solid option to me. I have the CMS harness sub belt brackets as well and they all work well together. I dont have any comparison to the other options personally

Wanted to ask if you had any track time with you helmet yet? I just had my first event last weekend and with my helmet I can see what everyone's talking about. Pushed forward and down due to back of helmet being in contact with head rest.arne wrote: Sat Oct 01, 2022 12:13 am I grabbed a set of the TrackSpec LWB seat recliner brackets. Thank you for the info. I just had my first Autocross event last weekend (finally got the break in miles done!) and I found right away how forward and down your head gets pushed due to the back of the helmet touching the head rest. I admit, I don't think it bothered me while driving the lap, but while sitting there waiting to go it was uncomfortable.shreddylaps wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 9:57 am Just recently installed the TPC brackets. I understand those wanting to change the LWB seat angle, but for me I prefer them the way they are whether on track or on the street. They have been optimally configured for proper track driving position, at least for average-sized drivers and, while they might take a bit of getting used to, after time many will grow to like them as they are.
However, I certainly can see how there are many thoughts on this issue considering comfort and unique needs such as different physical attributes of drivers. You need to be comfortable to fully enjoy driving cars as special as Porsches.

I have. Frankly can’t imagine how it would be be in a normal position with a helmet on. With the seat brackets it does push my head down a little still but it feels comfortable and I’m glad I got the brackets. It sometimes feels a little weird when driving without a helmet as you can feel the tilt a little. I think it’s worth it for helmet / track day use.Fredman6 wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 10:26 am
