Porsche just sent me a new email. The car is in the production thing. As you guys know, they note every step in the production. It will look like here:

Hopefully still shipped to Jacksonville. FL in November. I can't wait to get it and go to the Amelia Island Werks Reunion event in early March 2023.

I am not done. This is a 992.1. I am ordering a new 992.2 when this car arrives. It's the next 992.2 911 ICE Turbo car.

I think other guys may agree with me. Order today or get stuck with a slower heavy electric car with no perfect reliability as we have enjoyed for many decades.

Your new 911 Turbo has just completed the production process in our Stuttgart Zuffenhausen factory.

We are one step closer to making your dream a reality. We invite you to use Porsche Track Your Dream to learn about the next step for your Porsche vehicle on its journey to your dealer by using your Porsche ID account:
I guess they finished building it today. It's off to the shipping dock.

Larry,
It's a Turbo.

I was on the dealer wait list for a Turbo S (Lightweight) allocation. The dealer got a new allocation for some Turbo's for this fall and called me. I dropped the S allocation and went for the Turbo. I dropped the Lightweight package (offered on both) as the seats seemed too stiff and the glass too venerable to cracks.

I got the 24-way "sofa" seats for my old butt. ;) No sunroof.

Doc,

Beautiful car! Almost the same one as in my configurator (at least today, it seems to change frequently) 🤓

I’d like to pick your brain, or anyone else here too. I initially spec’d the all Bordeaux interior. My dealer wants me to change to the combo floor option with Bordeaux seats but black dash, which looks to be yours. He says it’s much more modern and the black dash won’t cause the reflection which the Bordeaux one will (says he) in the sun.

Appreciate anyones thoughts?

Thx

Jon

PS. First post here. Nice forum! Love the easy layout.

Jon,
I don't remember if I knew.

I started with the Porsche configurator, and I could not get a lot of things (it wouldn't allow it). My sales guy finally put it all together like I wanted. The dealer software works much better.

Mine is somewhere between the factory and the Port of Emden (at the North Sea).

I just got an email from my dealer that my 2023 911 Turbo is coming to Port. I already knew this. ;)

They offered me many financings offers at ~8%-10%. Thanks, but no thanks. I have never had a car payment.

I offered to buy the car at cash MSRP (which was promised).
I then offered to trade in the 2020 Porsche Carrera that I bought from them. It has 7500 miles on it. I drove it twice in the rain. It's in factory warranty until 2024.

I'd like to keep the 2020 Carrera as the future seems that very few nice low-milage ICE cars will be available. My Dad has an enclosed storage space that I can use. It has current for a trickle charger.

Go CarPokes,

I've been looking to keep my 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera. The paper file is thick.

I saved every Excellence magazine review with many other reviews in other magazines. All is good as an early one--owner Porsche 911. I have the title and original window sticker.

I think the gas Porsche 992 are very valuable in the future. Mine has 7500 miles with all the paperwork and no issues. I may be wrong (not my first time being wrong).

If you have the physical space, the finances, and the energy to keep it in good shape, by all means keep it! I've sold two Porsches in my life, and wish I kept both!

Tom, I was thinking that when I sold four older Porsche cars and traded in three more. I think I pictured them on this site . I do wish that I kept all of them. Who knew?

This deal is different. The dealer and I have no contractual obligations. It's the new world deal when you order well before any deal is final.

--i have the ability to pass on the new car price and walk away.--
--I have the ability to buy the new car that day--
--I can also screw around with them on any trade-in. They need my car in their inventory more than I need to trade it.--

They need an old-time customer to stay with them (this business is cyclical). I want a fair deal for them and me. I'll name them here if everything works well. I may give them a CarPokes soverneir thing for their office wall! :).
