'89 S2 No right high beam

Have swapped bulbs and in addition tested bulb straight to the batter and the bulb is good. Plugged the bulb in at the lamp bucket and jumped a + wire from the battery to the bulb three prong wiring loom connector and the bulb lights. Tested the 21 fuse at the box and the fuse is good and the hot side of the box has power. So the problem is between the box and the bulb connector.

I haven't pulled the box yet to see if the problem is there. But I assume it is unlikely. If I'm correct the problem is wiring between and I don't know the path. I don't want to throw hours at this. The inelegant solution is to simply run a new wire from the box to the bucket. But if it won't take me hours of clipping harness tie wraps and the like I'd prefer to find the problem and fix it. Does anyone know where the wires run and if there is a connector between the box and the light bucket?

Have you checked the stalk switch behind the steering wheel? Mine went bad and caused a bunch of weird issues...

I haven't and didn't think of it. I assumed the circuit flow was from the stalk to the fuse box and not the other way around. I'll play more today and figure out the flow.

I missed the headline about this only not working on one side only. That suggests it's localized to that side and not the stalk. I'll post that section of the factory wiring diagram in a bit, but would have to believe the possible causes are fairly limited on the right side, since the left works -- socket, connectors, harness, etc. Power for the high beams is making its way through the central electrics and switches, etc., but there's a break somewhere on the right side.

Here's an excerpt from the relevant page. Looks like all 4 light circuits have their own fuse (#20 through #24), which makes sense so that one bad fuse doesn't take out multiple lights. If you haven't already checked all 4 of those fuses, I'd probably start there... It's not obvious to me from a casual look at this diagram which one of those fuses is the high-beam on the right, so easy enough to check all 4 of them.....

Hi beam on the R is fuse 21 and it is good. So there is problem between there and the bulb. I was hoping someone knows the wire path through the car. I will probably just run a new wire.
