Assuming the question is for me … my tastes vary from Classic Rock, some Pop, Folk Rock, some country, some reggae, singer-songwriter, Americana.

In terms of artists putting out new music I listen to a lot of Springsteen, Passenger, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Lori McKenna, Brandy Clark, Kenny Chesney etc.

As this is Carpokes (Friendly, Fun), feel free to tell us about your musical interests.

Mojonito, my brother from another madre. Never thought I’d read Jarabe de Palo on this thread. (I met Pau and hung out back stage with him, my buddy was a concert promoter). Manu Chao was one of the most electric concerts I think I’ve been to. (Prince was up there too, you could feel the energy). Amy Winehouse was just a raw super talent, man she was so good. Astrid Gilberto I mean what can you say, as classic as they come. Try Bebel Gilberto for a modern version.

But you can’t leave out Soda Stereo, Caifanes, and Arterciopelados for alternative Spanish rock.

P_Coastal give Thievery Corporation a listen. Kinda mixes a few of the genres you mentioned.

For those who are still young at heart, I’ve been listening to Wet Leg recently. Fun garage punk pop style band. I think their sound is pretty fresh and nostalgic at the same time.

Another older alternative country type, Wilco is a great band.

Also try Luna, great guitar band.

Khruangbin is an amazing guitar band.

Still Corners and Flunk for pop alternative.

I could go and on lol very eclectic taste from Django Reinhardt, delta blues, British Invasion, and techno. But 80’s alternative was my first love. Still learning and discovering anything new :D

If it fits.... Lol

BUT...I researched a bit and very interesting find on your part! The "Strolling Yodeler" born in 1909. The record is from about 1929 I think, based on the info in the following link I found.

I enjoy going back in musical time to the early 1900's. Just about everything since can trace it's roots there.
