Clutch was silky smooth. At 800 miles I started getting shudder which only got worse with more miles and drove me nuts. I pulled the clutch last weekend and I do see some issues. (See pics). Flywheel might have been out of spec. I do see some grease on the clutch center. I might have overdone it lubing the Tork tube shaft and it migrated to the kevlar. I was wondering if the minor pressure plate discoloration should be a worry since I'd like to re-use it and go with a Turbo Cup Disc and new flywheel. About 1,200 miles on the whole setup. Thanks. Well at least you got 500 miles. Mine chattered from day one and only got (way) worse... My pressure plate looked much worse than yours too. It's kind of a cost/benefit gamble on whether to re-use that PP. It doesn't look that bad, but it was used with a disk that was chattering, so probably not ideal. Kind of comes down to whether it's worth risking the possibility of doing it all over again vs the cost of just buying a new one now. How likely is this one to cause problems? That's a question that probably can't be answered (especially over the internet) but the answer isn't zero. Personally, I'm too lazy to take the risk or re-doing, so I'd probably buy a new one regardless of its history -- but admit I tend to go overboard in that regard. How's that for a wishy-washy answer? :)

p.s., you have to be very careful with grease -- basically wipe if off and leave a residue so that it can't spin out and get on the friction pads...

I had a 4 puck zinther no spring sachs performance and a Sachs performance pressure plate.
Alot of shatter, useless in slow City traffic.

I can't find a Turbo Cup HD disc # 951.116.011.07. I was told by several vendors that they are unobtanium. A few web sites have a Sachs OEM version part #1861944433 which says replaces 951-116-011.07. Does anyone know if this is a viable option? I ordered a KEP1 pressure plate thinking the cup clutch disc would be easy to find. Thanks

I sent a message to ZF Engineering seeking a lead on the elusive Turbo Cup Disc. There are some available in the US.

"Thank you for contacting ZF Race Engineering. According to my records, Porsche PN# 951.116.011.07 (Sachs PN# 201861944433) was replaced by 951.116.011.09 (Sachs PN# 201878005621). I’m finding that this disc should be available through our distributer FCP Euro."

It was nice of them to respond quickly. There are about 15 of these available in the US according to ZF. Here's a link.

I remember going through a similar path through superseded part numbers quite a while ago. I think Paragon had sorted it all out at the time. The most important part is not using the disk with the 'helper' coil springs in the center. They pop out and only help mechanics make money. :wtf:
