One time use only then? I notice after removing they don't go back as tightly

Darwin, can you confirm the inside diameter? Drill bits can help you size them if needed. Random aside, I finally got a set of metric drill bits from Amazon, and am kicking myself for not getting them sooner. Very helpful around these cars. Anyway, the plastic nut I have (thanks to you) look good, but the hole is 'used' and self-barbed.... I figure if I do a 3D printed model it might as well be exact.

Does anyone have a good picture or two of this cover installed under the dash? I'm finally getting back to my dash and went to install the one Darwin got me, and not sure how it's even oriented when installed....danmartinic wrote: Mon Oct 25, 2021 4:20 pm Anyone know the thread size of these? They hold the plastic cover under the dash that protects the wiring from the fuse box. #11 on the diagram
Yes they are still available from the dealer but mine is quite the drive and they don't ship. I just want to drill and tap some plastic blocks lol

Well...... that explains why I was struggling so much. Thank you!!! No guarantees I'll get it now, but I was way off.

Still not getting it. What year is your car Dan? I have 944.610.219.00 which PET seems to say is correct for the '86, but it looks like there was an updated one for '88, which maybe you have? See where the yellow and red arrows point in yours versus mine -- clearly different. I can get it in place, it's just not big/deep enough to cover the harness and reach the mounting posts above -- not even close.... ?
