This is one of my favorite corners (10a/b), I love the braking into those corner. So much rubber and so much grip!!!! The RS seems to be anywhere between 150-155 into that corner if u keep the hammer down and traffic isn't an issue. I'm sure it could be faster though with the right driver.audi4t wrote: Mon Aug 29, 2022 7:45 am Anyone who has driven RA knows the “long” straightaway is not that long and is preceded by a tight S

I prefer David Murray. Here:ryancassidy wrote: Mon Aug 29, 2022 1:25 pm..Yeah, u have to be smart about it for sure. RA is one of the more dangerous tracks and last fall I saw a brand new 992 write it off in turn 12.

I'd hire him as #1 at Road Atlanta.

I've heard the same, but no first hand experience with him yet. With him, it's almost like a private track in that they normally limit it to 20-25 cars and I understand it to be an open track for 8hrs or so.
Not a bad deal for 2 days all day running! I hear he is top notch across the board!

I've done a couple of David Murry events, including one at Rd Atl but it's been a lot of years ago. His events are geared to advanced drivers and racers and as such, they offer helpful guidance and good advice for those wanting to learn more. (Me!) He does a great job and is always willing to help, another great benefit considering his pro driving experience, something being carried on by his son Dylan Murry.
By the way, I saw another topic of yours where you were selling toe hooks and tie downs because of your upcoming switch to a 996.2 Cup that you had purchased. Pretty exciting! Have you had it on track yet?
I compile data for a set of spreadsheets every year that cover DE's in the South and S'East along with some mid Atlantic and mid West venues. As of the last update, I had over 210 events listed and since they're sorted 3-ways (date, track, organizer), they can be quite helpful when planning track days. (For what it's worth, D. Murry's events are on the sheets.)

By the way Ryan, since we now have a new Racing/Track Day sub-forum, I moved this topic there yesterday.
