Quick jacks? High enough

There is a difference how the engine must be supported between using jack stands or a lift where the car sits leveled. When the car is jacked up at the rear end and on jack stands, the engine is more or less level. By using a lift and the car is level, the transmission need to be jacked up so you can slide in the engine.

Since I have a lift, I'm using a motorcycle jack and a small floor jack on a furniture dolly, so it will slide in all directions, and I can rise or lower both ends as needed.

I wish there was a scissor version of the QuickJack so that the car does not rotate backward as it raises.

I bought one several years ago from Costco. It was the best price at the time and like others, it's the best purchase I've made to aid in car maintenance. I currently use it on Race Deck Free Flow tiles and don't love that, but those will soon be replaced with epoxy and I suspect that will make me feel a lot better.

So I have enjoyed having the quick jacks now for over a year now. My 84 911 is up on them right now and I pulled my new fuel lines. Replaced the fuel pump. Have all 4 brakes to rebuild. All with the engine at the rebuild shop. I added some cross pieces made from UniStrut. Makes them more stable so I don’t have to worry about side to side movement. They are secured in place but Ubolts so not damaging the quick jacks.
