Porsche posted a tease today. Live streaming event of the unveiling.

“The new 911 GT3 RS is even more optimised for track use than its predecessors. The spontaneously responsive, high-revving four-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine with approximately 500 PS has proven ideal for use at trackdays and club sport events,” says Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Model Line. “That's why we focused primarily on aerodynamics and chassis questions in the development of the new 911 GT3 RS.”

Not on a list anywhere, but wouldn't mind to drive one at the track.

Anybody with a deposit?

Hmmm.... so no power bump at all he seems to be saying? Or maybe he just wants an extra ~20hp to seem like a pleasant surprise when they announce the car...?

Yea, I think the 4.0 is done as far as getting any more hp with the given emission requirements. I think some were thinking the RS might be a 4.2l. Does not sound like the case. Also no hybrid drive unit, yet.

No hybrid until 2027-ish I think… ya the 4.0
Is probably at its limit.. maybe a 4.5? Wonder how those Deman motors hold up.. they seem really on top of that motor tho. I like the Non RS better imo.
Current Porsche’s

2012 Carrera S 997.2- ruby red, PDK,
BBS, PSS9’s, Gundo-hack…the keeper!!

Both sold:
2010 GT3 (base model)
2008 Cayman CRS 3.8

I wasn't a huge fan of the 991 GT3RS when I first saw it online, but seeing that car in person changed my mind. I'm hoping this car is the same, but hard to imagine driving around the neighborhood with that rear wing...

I don’t think the 992 RS wing flows with the car enough. I’ve always preferred the non-RS cars.. I loved the 996RS cars, 997’s were great too.. 991 RS 2 and 3… not as much

New GT3 R cup car comes with a a 4.2l engine with 565 hp.

My guess is that this engine ends up in the RS. It will be detuned for the street car.
