@Bob Z Didn’t you have the Musicar tweeters in a prior Porsche? How do the new ones sound in comparison?

Thank you for sharing the information about the new tweeters. I’m thinking about canceling my portion of the group order. I understood what I would be getting these tweeters in 5 to 10 business days not months. I’m losing interest….

@Potterjwp, any update on the dash speaker saga? Another CP member replaced his Bose dash tweeters with Burmeister ones at a fraction of the cost of the Musicar ones. I’m very happy with the Musicar tweeters but I ordered before the group buy discount. It cost about 10% more but it was about one week from order to installation.

I waited about 12 months for my musicar tweeters since I was an early adopter

Just replacing the base system tweeter with musicar made a significant difference. To me, the bass speakers sound fine as-is

@Bob Z , was it hard to swap out the tweeters? Is there a DIY that you referenced? For $130 it seems like a no-brainer.

Very easy! And for the money, especially compared to the rip-off prices that Musicar charges, it really is a no-brainer. There are instructions in this thread...I really do not want to repeat it all here: https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-4-0 ... grade.html

Hi @Bob Z
For those of us who aren’t RL members or can’t access RL, can you kindly post the DIY thread on Carpokes?
Thanks

I was treated great before I canceled my Twitter order. I would definitely do business with these folks again in Portland. However the B-Meister tweeters are outstanding and make a massive improvement in the sound in my Spyder

You can view the tweeter removal video online (YouTube or Musicar website) and when you drop the Burm Tweeters in you only need to trim the tab on the side of the connector so it is flush with the connector so you can plug it in - that's all there is to it!
