WSJ review of 718 GT4 RS

I read the WSJ and usually check out Dan Neil's reviews of whatever automotive product he writes on most weekends. Most of his stuff is SUV's and exotics like Lambos and Ferraris, but today his subject is the GT4 RS that everyone(Porsche people) is lusting after. He starts off saying, "If you gave most people a 2023 porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS for free, most would give it back in a week." I daresay he shouldn't try that with this group, else his entire annual WSJ budget would be busted rather quickly! Anyway, he says some entertaining things and I suggest you check it out. Anyone not having acces to the WSJ or that can't pull it up on Google let me know and I'll copy and paste for you, but I'm not going to do so here for fear of the copyright police.

Is it in the May 27th paper? I can't seem to find it?

Yep, today's paper, I read it online so it is probably scheduled for tomorrow for the print edition.

Ah, ok. Thanks. I thought those articles were a weekend thing. Didn't know the online version was ahead like that.... I'm sure to a non-car person, any Porsche with those lightweight buckets seems like the worst seat on Sky-High Airlines....

I love the look of the LWBS and I actually find them fairly comfortable. Getting in and out of the seats requires a bit of Houdini trickery, especially at my age. I do wish my Sports Plus seats had the option of changing the seat inserts. I love the pepita pattern. I recently saw a 911R with the same interior color scheme as my car. It had the black and white pepita inserts -

So the article was in our old-fashion printed newspaper this morning (which was hucked out the window of a speeding white panel van into our small bed of finally-blooming flowers...).

Nice article. Nothing new per se, but he did drive one and said the PDK 'simply loathes being In 1st gear at parking-lot speeds, when it can experience abrupt, surging-and-catching hiccups.' Sounds like early BMW and Ferrari dual clutch transmissions, and like something Porsche will smooth out in production models. Also interesting to see how the writer tried to relate to his 4-door driving readership. Kind of like reading Car & Driver for investment advice.
