I think the easiest and quickest way to determine if your car has been done properly is to look for the single black-sleeved wire that runs down along the fuel rail, separate from the fuel injector harness, all the way from the 14 pin connector near the power brake servo to the power steering pump. The wire itself will be black with a yellow stripe, the sleeve that it's in is black. I have no quick way to put an arrow on this picture, but you can see it as it passes past the water outlet down the front of the block and joins in with the wire bundle going over the water pump towards the oil filter. All the cars should be wired this way, or very similarly, per the TSB, if a Porsche dealership did it.

So now that it's been determined that my car has not had the campaign, what's next? I know the wires are connected to the switch, and everything is as it should be.

Well, some people will tell you to just disconnect the switch. But if I was in this situation, and especially if my engine bay looked like yours, I'd have a go at performing the TSB myself. You'd have to source the wire, probably just use a 2.5mm solid black unless you can find a black/yellow. All the information you need is there in the TSB above, but there's a bit of a learning curve to the CE panel and the connector designations. Watch videos and read the service manual (vol. 5, wiring) over and over till you get it. Maybe start with this one; he's got several other good electrical vid's:

I've not had cause to dig into the CE panel on my car up to now, but I'm pretty sure I'd have a go before letting anyone else mess with my electrical system.

Black/yellow is probably not 'that' hard to find, but I'll take the opportunity to give a plug for my wire-tracer tool... :)

I just plugged the retro-kit part number into Sunset's site, and it appear to be available still, and only $18!

Better option than what I found.

I have just confirmed that no fuse is in location #35...
Never safe to assume... Since you have no fuse in #35, best practice is to remove the wire from the switch on the power steering pump, and insulate it from contacting any ground. I would use s wrenut and some shrink wrap for double protection. The damage caused when it shorts to ground can be expensive.
